Yep, it will be here before we know it! Plenty of New Years resolutions being made I bet?
2012 was a little crazy,...crazy busy! I have no idea how I came out of it alive but I'm actually hoping 2013 will be a little less stressful :)
First of all, I managed to make roughly 160 cakes. Doesn't sound like a lot in 12 months....but when your a one woman show who has 2 young kids and day to day life to contend with it feels more like 1600!
Here are my faves over the months:
And one of the last cakes of 2012? the Walking Dead!!
What else happened in 2012 besides a hell of alot of sugar and butter?! My boy turned 6...and Abbi turned 3 and started nursery!
I have a six year old?! Man that goes fast.
Abbi talks WAAAAY more now than she used to. She loves singing and dancing the best but often gets her rhymes mixed up.
Including : Hickory Dickory Dock, the mouse ran up the spout.
Jack fell down, and broke his crown, and couldn't get up in the morning
There's a worm at the bottom of the garden and his name is....Pete.
5 cunner buns in a bacon shop, round and back with a cherry on the top...
And the only song shes sings that isn't a nursery rhyme is Bruno Mars - Marry You. Which is odd as we don't listen to it all that much apart from when its on the radio. Again...words are subject to change ;)
This year I also did my first wedding fair, which was....an experience to say the least!
I then did my second wedding fair in a place where I felt right at home...an Alternative Wedding Fair. It was an amazing day and I met some awesome people which I'm looking forward to working with in 2013 hopefully ;)
2012 also brought one of the most shocking stories of all time...ADAM WATCHING ZOMBIES.
You all know how much he hates horror, I mean REALLY hates it. But he watches the Walking Dead, which is great as we can actually sit down and watch something I enjoy just as much!
In fact the more I think about it, the more amazing it is LOL He has a serious fear of Zombies so to watch this of all things is like a miracle!
I also did my first 'constructed' cake. Which needed lots of power tools to make it happen!
2 and a half foot in height..and an 8" cake 'house' balancing on a tower.
We also made a bucket list with some of the most random things on it....which I'm happy to say a few we've managed to cross off. Including the one 'eat a krispy kreme donut'
In fact what became something I had never done.....actually turned into a regular occurrence XD ha ha Too many donuts and I now have to hit the gym.
Then last but not least, the biggest event for us of 2012 was getting married. It dominated every second of the year which made making those 160 cakes even harder!
Over a year of planning went into that day, and when it was over (and no honeymoon to look forward too) I was so depressed I had nothing to plan! I snapped out of it eventually and I'm now looking forward to a New Year of more cakes, wedding fairs, blogging, collaborations, and maybe....just maybe I can squeeze in more 'me time'.
What do you think? Can I pull that off?
No I don't think so either...lol
